Burrinjuck Dam decrease in outflows

Burrinjuck Dam spilling10 December 2010 – 12:30PM

Burrinjuck Dam has decreased its outflows to 60,000ML per day as inflows have decreased to 75,500ML per day.

As at 10am this morning, the dam was sitting at 105% of capacity.

State Water Acting Manager Water Delivery Scott Barber said that State Water will continue to monitor the situation over the day.

“At the moment, we have decided to restrict outflows to 60,000ML per day. This is to provide some relief to areas downstream.

“We are undertaking regular monitoring of the dam, and watching the storage level closely” said Mr Barber.
