New Leeton office opened
5 March 2010
The new location for Murray and Murrumbidgee river operations was unveiled when State Water officially opened its new Leeton office on Friday, 5 March 2010.
Labor MLC Tony Catanzariti opened the new Kurrajong Avenue premises at a small ceremony at 11am.
State Water CEO George Warne also attended, and said the office relocation was part of the corporation’s strategy to focus on significant areas of operation within the state.
“Leeton office is one of our most important as it houses river operations for the Murray and Murrumbidgee, two of the largest rivers in the scope of State Water’s management,” Mr Warne said.
“Moving our staff to the new location is a significant step in building State Water as a stand alone corporation committed to servicing the needs of customers in terms of river and dam operation.”
Fourteen State Water staff moved in to the new premises in January.
“Leeton office houses a selection of staff from various operations across our business, including customer service, water delivery, maintenance and services and major projects.”
