Changes to customer service in Forbes

State Water will no longer provide a customer interface at the NSW Office of Water’s Forbes office from 2 May 2011, due to changes in staffing arrangements.
This means that customers in the Forbes area wishing to pay bills in person may only do so at the office of Australia Post.
Customer Field Officer operations along the length of the Lachlan River will remain unchanged.
The NSW Office of Water will continue to operate from the Spring Street office, and can answer enquiries related to policy, groundwater, licensing and water allocations.
Scott Barber, State Water Manager Customer Operations said State Water had expanded its customer services in recent years to include a dedicated 1300 information line, and an online account management capability to reduce the reliance on face-to-face interaction.
“A change in staff circumstances at our Forbes office means the option for customers to pay bills in person will cease from the end of April, however those who choose to may still pay in person at Australia Post.
"However State Water has also implemented some simple means of remote payment that are quite popular among customers and reflect our efforts to operate as a business that provides customers with the quality and range of services they would expect.
“So in streamlining operations and allocating resources more efficiently, we have also introduced a number of tools to benefit customers, such as the customer information call centre and online water accounting system,” said Mr Barber.
State Water offers a range of payment options:
• Pay in person at any Australia Post Office
• BPay – BPay is one of the easiest and quickest ways to pay your water bill either by bank transfer or credit card. It takes about two minutes and you can do it 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
